Project

Teaching English is the most popular subject, but the programme is also welcome the other subjects such as music, IT, arts and other languages. You don't need to have formal training or speak Chinese language to teach during a volunteer vacation. You just need a respect for the local cultures and a heart big enough to love the children you teach.

The school you will teach in is a public middle school with kids 11 to 18 years old. Although they are in Beijing, they have limited funds to employ the native English speaker teacher, their English grammar might be advance level but the oral English just in beginner. In some area, the students have limited opportunities to practice their English, you will be the guide to introduce the world in the other side. To teach these students, textbooks are provided but teachers are encouraged to be creative in their lessons and activities.

The volunteer works are varies in the following areas depending on your experience:

- English teachers

- English assistant for English corner (popular oral English practice activity in China)

- Other subjects teachers such as music, IT, arts and other languages

Beijing Accommodation

The hostel located in Beijing's popular Sanlitun Bar Street, the Lufthansa shopping center and other tourist hot-spots are within easy walking distance of the hostel. The hostel has 35 rooms, with two to six beds in each room. It features air-conditioning, 24-hour hot water, a self-catering dining room, laundry room, general store, game room and a reading room. Residents may use the heath center and other entertainment facilities at the nearby 5-star sister hotel. All our Beijing programme volunteers will stay in Beijing central hostel 4-bed room. (programme fees includes the 4-bed room cost). Or you can upgrade to the twin or single bed room on your own extra cost when arriving the programme. 

We also arrange host family service for our volunteers. Host family has become a popular way for vistors. We do want our volunteers know real Chinese family and culture. You will have your own room and share kitchen and both room with the family. Most host family’s kids are studying in the same school you working with
